City looking for another United old boy to cross the divide.
All the talk has been whether or not Paul Pogba would be returning to Old Trafford but the blue half of Manchester are looking to crash the party.
The French man has been absolutely tearing it up for Juventus in Serie A since joining the Italians from United but he has been linked with a move away every other weekend.
Now, it's being reported that Man City are after the attacking midfielder and they're planning on using big Yaya Toure as part of the deal.
The Guardian are reporting that representatives from the Etihad have already held talks with Juve about Pogba and that Toure is one of a few baits they could use to seal the deal.
'Manchester City’s determination to prise Paul Pogba from Juventus has led to Yaya Touré being offered as a makeweight in a deal for the Frenchman, who is valued at €100m (£71.5m) by the Italian champions. City have visited Turin to hold talks over a potential transfer for the 22-year-old.'City have offered not only Touré, whose relationship with the club is troubled, but Samir Nasri, Stevan Jovetic, Aleksandar Kolarov and Edin Dzeko to Juventus should the Serie A club wish to include one or more in any deal for Pogba. City are the only club to have gone to Turin to firm up their interest in buying a player who would be the ideal replacement for Touré and would be expected to be the mainstay of the midfield for the foreseeable future.'
Nasri, Jovetic, Kolarov, Dzeko, Toure? It sounds like Pellegrini is playing Football Manager and can't afford Pogba so he's lumping anyone and everyone in on the deal.
Don't forget to offer the old 100 million after 40 international goals, too.
