Just what Arteta needed...

One of Mikel Arteta's most important players has been ruled out for the the remainder of the season, according to dedicated Arsenal reporter Joshua Hall and David Ornstein.

The Gunners face the three biggest matches in their modern history over the next fortnight, as they play out their last two games of the Premier League season, and the Champions League final.

After defeating West Ham United on Sunday, the Gunners now only have to defeat 19th placed Burnley and 15th Crystal Palace to be sure of winning the 2025/26 Premier League title.

Then at the end of the month, Arsenal are set to face PSG in the club's first Champions League final in two decades.

The north Londoners are now closer to major silverware than they have been in a generation, but they may now have to finish the job without one of their most important players.

According to Hall's reporting, right-back Benjamin White suffered a "suspected MCL injury" to his knee when he was substituted off during the first-half at the London Stadium.

The report details that White will miss the final two Premier League games, the Champions League final, and is a doubt for the World Cup.

A strong run of form in Arteta's side following an injury to Jurrien Timber earlier this year, saw White gain major plaudits and he returned to the Three Lions set-up for the first time since 2022 last month.

With Timber still out of action, it remains to be seen who Arteta makes use of in the right-back position over the final few weeks of the season.
