A Lyon wonderkid 'vanished' during a medical with a Premier League club, reports in France have revealed.
Ernest Nuamah was set for a move from Olympique Lyonnais on deadline day, however extraordinary circumstances prevented the move from materialising.
The player was reportedly left in tears, thereby abandoning a move to Marco Silva's Fulham outfit.
The Cottagers had been very active in the market, signing the likes of Sander Berge from Burnley, Emile Smith-Rowe from Arsenal and Joachim Andersen from Crystal Palace.
Silva's side also had a sizeable outgoing, with formerly hugely crucial Joao Palhinha departing to German giants Bayern Munich following renewed interest.
However with Nuamah, the player supposedly broke down in tears and resultantly vanished from the scene.
According to L'Equipe, the player did not want to leave Lyon, leading the move eventually collapsing.
Reports suggest that the Ghanian international flew to London to undergo a medical, though was desperate to stay in France.
He reportedly completed the first stages of the medical, however failed to complete the latter stages.
And following the events, Lyon owner John Textor, is said to have sent a letter apologising to Fulham.
The move to Fulham was reported to be in the £16million region.
