He requested a meeting with Jose Mourinho this afternoon.

Given Jose Mourinho's recent comments about Luke Shaw, it appeared that the former Southampton left-back would be moving away from Old Trafford this summer. Shaw became English football's most expensive teenager when he left the Saints for United in the summer of 2014, but the England defender hasn't been a firm favourite of Mourinho since the Portuguese manager took over from Louis Van Gaal in the summer. "The way he trains, the way he commits, the focus, the ambition, I cannot compare (to Young, Darmian and Blind). He’s a long way behind," said the United manager this weekend. Mourinho's remarks sent the rumour mill into overdrive, but it appears that the two men have held constructive talks about Shaw's future at the club. Samuel Luckhurst, journalist for the Manchester Evening News, has reported that after hearing the comments, the left-back requested a meeting with Mourinho and it seems to have been a productive one. https://twitter.com/samuelluckhurst/status/848985914911182848 After the meeting, Shaw joined up with his teammates at The Lowry Hotel and it appears that he's going to be included in United's squad to face Everton tomorrow. https://twitter.com/PAdugout/status/848978357979164676
