American politics has been eerily quiet so far this year – so quiet we've been starting to wonder what's happening over there.

As far as we can tell, Obama has never mentioned having any support for Motherwell before, so either this is a new thing of his, or he's just been keeping his Scottish football allegiances under wraps until now.
In fact, it's always been thought that he was a West Ham fan, although maybe he's been turned off the club by the recent move to the Olympic Stadium...
