Mohamed Salah has been referred to the police by Liverpool Football Club
The forward, Liverpool's Player of the Season and the Premier League Golden Boot winner last season, has been filmed by fans apparently using his mobile phone whilst driving.
Merseyside police have confirmed that they have received reports of the video and have passed it on to the relevant department.
A spokesperson for the football club has revealed that, after discussing the incident with the player, they then alerted the police as well.
You can watch the footage below, which appears to show Salah using his phone whilst driving slowly in traffic as his car is surrounded by fans, including some children:

Liverpool have confirmed that any follow-up action will be dealt with internally by the club.
"The club, after discussion with the player, have made Merseyside Police aware of the footage and the circumstances surrounding it's capture."
"We have spoken to the player also and will deal with any follow-up internally.
"Neither the club or player will be making any further comment on this matter," a spokesperson said.
