Liverpool legend makes strong claim about Daniel Sturridge’s future at the club

Daniel Sturridge's Liverpool future looks increasingly insecure as Jurgen Klopp failed to back the England striker to re-appear any time soon after a lengthy battle with hamstring injuries. The former Chelsea man has barely featured for Liverpool again this season and  before the FA Cup clash with West ham, Jurgen Klopp was once again unsure when the club would see the ex-Manchester City man in red again.

'He is still working. Sometimes it is better, sometimes it is a bit worse because of other issues. That is all. He has done a lot of sessions in the last few weeks but it is always interrupted with a few breaks. He needs consistency in the sessions and that's what we try to do."

On Friday Liverpool were linked with signing Javier Hernandez from Bayer Leverkusen and this afternoon it seems that at least one former Liverpool player feels the club are already looking to ship him out of the club. With Christian Benteke not exactly setting the world on fire, there is a feeling that Sturridge, if fit, would still be a deadly striker and a key player for the Merseysiders.
