Liverpool have made a bid for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain with the Arsenal midfielder's future at the Emirates increasingly uncertain due to a stall in his new contract talks.
Oxlade-Chamberlain has only one year left on his current deal at the Emirates and Liverpool are among the clubs keen to snap him up according to reports from the Mirror on Tuesday morning.
The 23-year-old has been at the club since signing from Southampton as a teenager in 2011 for £12 million.
But, despite being about to enter his seventh season as an Arsenal player, he has never quite nailed down a spot in Arsene Wenger's starting line-up.Chamberlain made his England debut in 2012 and he has since made 27 appearances for the national team.Arsene Wenger was eager to tie Chamberlain down with a new contract but those talks have come to a frustrating halt and, as a result, a move awayfrom North London looks increasingly likely.Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is a known long-time admirer of Chamberlain and he is eager to secure the services of the winger ahead of Manchester City and Chelsea who are also both reportedly interested.
Liverpool's interest in Chamberlain first came to light five months ago but Arsenal were reluctant to let go of their player in the middle of the season.
