Liverpool get tidy sum of cash from Manchester City’s Champions League glory

Manchester City are still buzzing after their Champions League quarter final win over PSG on Tuesday night. Manuel Pellegrini's side defeated the French side 1-0 on the night to go through to the competition's last four on aggregate. That victory triggered a clause in Raheem Sterling's contract and Liverpool are now richer to the tune of £300,000.
City paid Liverpool £44 million up front for the winger with another £5m due to be paid if Sterling and his new club reach certain targets, and results.
If City go on to win the Champions League, Liverpool would reportedly get a £200,000 top-up on that initial bonus.
What of Sterling himself?
The 21-year-old missed the quarter final ties with a groin injury but is hoping to be back for this weekend's Premier League action.
