Brian Kerr is a diligent man.
Anyone lucky enough to see him prepare for a TV3 highlights package would know that he doesn't go into things unprepared. He'll have notes sprawled all over the floor, player profiles up on iPads and he'll have contacted relevant parties to gauge a deeper understanding of what he's about to talk about. As a manager, you could only imagine that he was even more obsessive in getting things right. That's why he can't understand where the signing of 30-year-old Ragnar Klavan came from. It doesn't bode well for the Liverpool scouting network that the former Republic manager said he targeted the Estonian when he was in charge of the Faroe Islands."It surprised me that they signed him," the Dubliner said, commentating on Premier League Live on Today FM. "He played against the Faroes and I remember studying him before matches and thinking he was a bit of a weak link. "I never thought he was a fella that would be playing for Liverpool in the Premier League. We got three goals against him in the Faroes and we had a load of part-time lads.
