List of Liverpool stars who have liked Salah’s anti-Slot post as pressure mounts

Taking to Instagram on Saturday, less than 24 hours after a 4-2 loss to Aston Villa, Salah announced his belief that the Reds' have been subpar throughout the campaign due to an unwillingness to embrace the type of attacking football that had previously defined their identity.

Following Salah's bombshell post, a number of his teammates have liked the post, seemingly endorsing the Egyptian's perspective.

Salah's post has been liked by all of; Dominik Szoboszlai, Harvey Elliott, Andy Robertson, Hugo Ekitike, Milos Kerkez, Curtis Jones, Jeremie Frimpong, Wataru Endo, and Giovanni Leoni.

Alongside Salah, Cutis Jones has also made a post of his own that seemed to also criticise Liverpool's direction under their Dutch head coach.

Jones said: "Thank you for your continued support in a disappointing season.

"It’s way off the standards expected at this football club."

Other than Jones, Reds's star Dominik Szoboszlai has also gained extra attention online.

As well as liking Salah's post, fans have also noticed the Hungarian has shown his support for a number of controversial fan posts.

Most of the posts seem to share the sentiment that Szoboszlai has been the "one shining star in a dark cloud."

What did Salah say?

Mo Salah's full statement reads: "I have witnessed this club go from doubters to believers, and from believers to champions. 

"It took hard work and I always did everything I could to help the club get there. 

"Nothing makes me prouder than that. Us crumbling to yet another defeat this season was very painful and not what our fans deserve. 

"I want to see Liverpool go back to being the heavy metal attacking team that opponents fear and back to being a team that wins trophies. 

"That is the football I know how to play and that is the identity that needs to be recovered and kept for good. 

"It cannot be negotiable and everyone that joins this club should adapt to it. Winning some games here and there is not what Liverpool should be about. 

"All teams win games. Liverpool will always be a club that means a great deal to me and to my family. I want to see it succeed for long after I have moved on.

"As I’ve always said, qualifying to next season’s Champions League is the bare minimum and I will do everything I can to make that happen."

Far from the first time Salah and Slot have disagreed this season:

Incredibly, this is not the first time this season that Salah has criticised Slot in public. 

Back in December, after being dropped to the bench by the Reds' manager, Salah accused Slot of "throwing him under the bus." 

At the time, Salah said: "The club promised me in the summer for a lot of promises and nothing so far.

"I'm not even in the previous three games, so I can't say that they keep the promises.

"I said that many times before I had a good relationship with the manager and all of a sudden we don't have any relationship. I don't know why.

"It seems to me, I would say that someone doesn't want me in the club, but again, this is a club I'll always support. My kids will always support it"

"I called my mum yesterday because I knew - you guys didn't know that I'm going to start or not - but I knew. I called my mum and that day, so I told them to come to the Brighton game. It doesn't matter if I play or not, I'm going to enjoy it.

"We'll see what's going to happen. In my head I'm going to enjoy that game if I played or not, if I'm on the bench or not because I don't know what's gonna happen now. Say goodbye to the fans, we're going to the Africa Cup. Because I don't know what's going to happen when I'm there.

"It's not acceptable for me to be fair. Like, I don't know why that happen always to me. I don't get it.

"I think if I'm somewhere else, the in the club will protect this player. I don't know why I'm in this situation now, but again, it's how I see it now is that. It's like you throw Mo under the bus because he's a problem in the team now, but I don't think I'm the problem. I have done so much for this club with the respect, the respect, I want to get, and I don't have to go every day fighting for my position because I earned it.

"People will say, 'oh, you're not bigger than', I'm not bigger than anyone, I'm just, I earned my position."

While a Salah apology did eventually bring an end to that dispute, the tension only really came to an end in March when the Egypt star announced he would depart Anfield at the end of the season.
