Lionel Messi’s son writes emotional letter to his father ahead of World Cup final

Lionel Messi could win the World Cup for the first time.

Lionel Messi's 10-year-old son Thiago has written a letter to his father ahead of the World Cup final. Argentina face France at the Lusail Stadium on Sunday in what is expected to be Messi's final game at international level and therefore, his last attempt to win the World Cup. Messi's wife, Antonella Roccuzzo, has shared a letter written by his son in the build-up to the final, in which he quotes the entirety of 'Muchachos' - a song which takes aim at England over the Falklands War. https://www.instagram.com/p/CmH3lLhSSMf/ It starts by saying: "I was born in Argentina, land of Diego [Maradona] and Lionel. "Of the kids from Malvinas that I will never forget. I can't explain it to you because you won't understand. The song has recently become the number one tune on Spotify after footage of Messi and his Argentinian teammates singing it after their semi final win against Croatia went viral. The lyrics include a line saying "Ingleses putos de Malvinas no me olvido', which roughly translates to "f***ing English in the Falklands, I don't forget".
