Poor ol' Arsene Wenger can't even find some sympathy from his fellow countrymen.
The Lille manager had enough of people talking ill of French football and claims that Monaco's victory over Arsenal on Wednesday night shows that Ligue 1 sides are not so bad after all.
According to The Daily Mail, Girard told journalists: "To those who say our league is s**t, it [Monaco's win over Arsenal] proves there's perhaps s**t elsewhere as well."
Oooh, bitchy.
Arsenal were heavily favoured against Monaco but fell 3-1 to Leonardo Jardim's side in what will surely prove an insurmountable first-leg result.
Still though, Chill out Rene.
