EA Sports partnered with Adidas last year to release four digitally designed kits from Manchester United, Juventus, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid for FIFA 18's Ultimate Team game mode, with the kit available to buy in game.
It is estimated that the Ultimate Team game mode is worth about $800 million to EA. By 2021, Forbes expect FIFA’s annual unit sales to exceed 20 million, and bring in more than $3 billion annually for EA with a lot of this money stemming from in-game purchases and other services.
