Ronaldo's mother Denise explained that she names her children based off what international football team was dominating in the year of their birth.

Ronaldo and Rivaldo, hmmm,.. that's odd, but it's a nice homage to that great Brazil team. While we're at it, does she have any other children? If so, what are their names?

Oh right, that is a bit mental. In fairness, Trezeguet was one of the nicer options considering the French team of that era. She could have easily been called Lizarazu, or God forbid, Djorkaeff.
