This probably counts as an illegal approach but who cares?
SEE Airtricity League of Ireland new boys Cabinteely FC have been gaining an off-field reputation for the most savvy PR operators in Irish football.
Not content with their slick offer of free entry to the home game against Cobh on May 22nd to anyone who had their accumulator destroyed by their late goal against Finn Harps, the Division One side have now gone and made an offer to Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure to make a move to south Dublin at the end of the season.
And they're going to throw free entry to the game against Cobh into the mix too. Bargain.
Toure, famously, was disgruntled at Manchester City last season when they forgot to get a cake f0r his birthday. A mistake they weren't going to make this year.
It seems Cabinteely can offer him everything he wants from a football club. Apart from 200 grand a week.
But whoever runs the Cabinteely Twitter account deserves a raise. Or at least a big slice of cake.
