‘He is a striker who offers different game options to our team’
Kylian Mbappé has sung the praises of the “complete” Randal Kolo Muani following the growing interest from Liverpool and Manchester United.
The Eintracht Frankfurt forward has impressed for club and country and has 16 goals and provided 14 assists in 35 appearances for Frankfurt.
Kolo Muani started the 1-0 win against the Republic of Ireland on Monday night but before the game Mbappé, one of the world’s best, hailed several of the forwards’ qualities.
“He is a striker who offers different game options to our team,” said Mbappé.
“He is very complete and has an impressive volume of play. We are happy with the game he played on Friday and I hope he scores tomorrow. Tomorrow we will try to get him to score a goal.”
Although the 24-year-old didn’t get on the scoresheet, Kolo Muani impressed once again as the 2018 World Cup winners fought off a valiant effort from Ireland to secure the win.
L’Équipe reported last month that both Liverpool and United were keen to bring the Frankfurt forward to the Premier League, but Kolo Muani remains focused on the current task at hand, despite having ambitions to play for the biggest clubs in the world.
“We talk about it a lot already, but I try to be focused on my club,” he told them.
“We continue our performances and we will see this summer. Afterwards, I always dreamed of playing in big clubs.”
Any deal to bring the forward to the Premier League is likely to cost a lot with the Bundesliga side reportedly wanting £89m to part ways with Kolo Muani.
