Following news that Martin Skrtel faces six weeks on the sidelines following a hamstring injury, Liverpool are looking to Serie A to bolster their defence.

Reports in Italy suggest that Jurgen Klopp has identified Juventus centre-back Martin Caceres as the man to add solidity and bite to the Anfield club's porous backline. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uLGy2vy8_xM Caceres has only featured in two games for the Italians since he was suspended and fined for a drink-driving incident in September. The Uruguayan smashed his £200,000 Ferrari 458 Italia into a bus stop and two parked cars after losing control of the vehicle. Klopp is hoping to sign the 28-year-old in next month's transfer window, but he faces stiff competition from Turkish side Fenerbahce.
