There are not too many on Merseyside who would admit to being fans of Alex Ferguson but Jurgen Klopp is not the type to blindly follow convention.

Klopp is as unique a football manager as the Premier League has ever seen and he's quiet happy to admit that he likes the legendary Manchester United boss, even though Liverpool supporters may not be in total agreement. Earlier this week, Ferguson announced the Reds as certain title challengers and praised Klopp for the job he had done since he took the Anfield hot seat. https://twitter.com/SportsJOEdotie/status/791939890673963009 And the respect is clearly mutual. “What can I say? Is it allowed for me to say that I like Alex Ferguson... as the Liverpool manager?" Klopp said at his pre-match press conference. “I knew him before. He's a really nice person. He did what he had to do at Manchester and that meant ultimately it wasn't good for Liverpool. “When he has something positive to say about Liverpool it's better than him saying something negative. It's all good but it doesn't mean a lot." Liverpool v Manchester United - Premier League Klopp was typically level-headed when he was asked whether Ferguson's comments would have an impact on his team. “I'm pretty sure Alex Ferguson didn't go out of his house and say: 'I've got something I'd like to say about Liverpool'," Klopp said. “Some people asked a few questions and he gave a few answers – that's how it was. It's okay. It doesn't help or disturb us.” Colm Parkinson is joined by Paul Rouse for a heated debate about Sky Sports' five-year GAA deal and an exclusive chat with AFL star Zach Tuohy on the new GAA Hour.
