Jurgen Klopp has opened up on the only regret he has from his time managing Liverpool.
Klopp is closing in on the last lap of his farewell tour with just two games left of the season.
Although it looked at one stage that they could end his nine years in charge with a quadruple, barring a miracle, they will have a Carabao Cup to their name to end the season. But, that isn't a reflection of his time in charge.
During his nine-year reign, the German has won one Premier League, one Champions League, one FA Cup, two League Cups, one community shield, one UEFA Super Cup and one Club World Cup.
However, like all managers, there is one part of his time at Anfield that he regrets.
Previewing his side's visit to Aston Villa on Monday night, Klopp was asked about the form of Harvey Elliot.
The youngster has had somewhat of a breakthrough season and has established himself as an integral part of the starting XI, scoring last weekend in their win against Spurs.
His performances have even led to him being touted with a place in Gareth Southgate's squad for Euro 2024 but the German admitted he wished he could've played Elliot more.
"If I regret anything it's that Harvey Elliot didn't play often enough," the Liverpool boss admitted.
He also said he didn't want to put any further pressure on Elliot when asked if he deserved to go to the Euros.
"If it would help Harvey, what I say, I'd say it," added Klopp. But it would start a conversation in public. If he wants to pick him, he has everything he needs. But I will not be part of that discussion.
Elliot has four goals and nine assists from 51 games in all competitions.
