Reports that Manchester City's 155 alleged financial charges have been dropped have been quashed by one journalist.
City were charged by the Premier League with 115 alleged breaches of its financial rules after a four-year investigation after being referred to an independent commission over alleged rule breaches between 2009 and 2018.
Premier League chief executive Richard Masters has stressed that a date has been set for when the outcome of the investigation, and the punishment City will face, will be revealed.
No more information has been confirmed however in recent weeks some rumours have claimed all charges against Pep Guardiola's side have been dropped.
Daily Mail journalist Mike Keegan denied those rumours however, posting to X on Friday to say: "There’s a rumour flying around that Manchester City’s charges have been dropped. Told it’s not true."
Pressure on the Premier League has ramped up after they punished Everton and Nottingham Forest for breaching profit and sustainability rules with points deductions.
Leicester City are also set to face punishment next season after breaching the rules.
Additionally, City have been accused of failing to cooperate with the investigation and have consistently denied all charges.
When the charges were first announced in February 2023, they said: "The club welcomes the review of this matter by an independent commission, to impartially consider the comprehensive body of irrefutable evidence that exists in support of its position.
"As such we look forward to this matter being put to rest once and for all."
