Jose Mourinho receives fine and one match stadium ban

The bad news for Jose Mourinho continues.

The Chelsea manager has been fined £40,000 by the Football Association and received a one-match stadium ban. The measures are in relation to an incident at Upton Park on October 24, when Chelsea lost 1-2, and Mourinho confronted referee Jon Moss at half-time. Mourinho was said to have refused to leave the referee's room, and reportedly said to Moss: "Arsene Wenger was right, you're f*****g soft." Mourinho was then sent to watch the second-half in the stands, and his stadium ban will take immediate effect, meaning he'll be prevented from being in the dugout for Chelsea's game against Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium this weekend. The FA released a statement this evening, saying:

Following an Independent Regulatory Commission hearing today, Jose Mourinho has been given a one-match stadium suspension with immediate effect and fined £40,000. The Chelsea manager admitted an FA charge of misconduct regarding his language and/or behaviour towards the match officials in or around the dressing room area during half-time of the game against West Ham United on 24 October 2015. With regard to Chelsea coach Silvino Louro, who denied an FA misconduct charge in relation to the same game, The FA, having considered further representation, withdrew the formal charge of improper conduct but reminded him of his responsibilities.
