Jamie Vardy still has a way to go before matching Irishman’s goalscoring record

Dunne was in the midst of an incredible run of form for the Blades, for whom he racked up 143 goals in 173 appearances. He also netted 13 times in 15 appearances for the Irish national side in the 1930s. Should Vardy's incredible run continue, he will be looking to equal Dunne's mark with goals against Manchester United this weekend and then Swansea, before attempting to make the record his own against champions Chelsea on December 14.
