Jamie Carragher throws Shay Given under the bus after criticism of defending in charity game

Like every good defender, Jamie Carragher has passed the blame on to his goalkeeper after coming up with a howler during a charity game at the weekend.

Carragher was lining out for a Class of 92 & Friends side on Sunday for a charity match against Salford City at the Peninsula Stadium. With the Class of 92 & Friends enjoying a 2-0 lead, a ball was sent over the top of the defence and Carragher looked to be dealing with the trouble handily as he held off an opposition attacker and looked to roll it back to Given so that he could clear the danger.
