Jamie Carragher couldn’t hide his frustration as he ripped Claudio Bravo a new one

Jamie Carragher doesn't sugarcoat things.

It's part of what made his transition from top player to top pundit so seamless and rapid as football fans don't want their analysts beating around the bush when it comes to critiques of underperforming players. And in the same way that Carragher never saw a 50/50 challenge that he didn't relish, the Liverpool legend pulls out of absolutely nothing when he's stood at the Sky Pad. Manchester City goalkeeper Claudio Bravo was the unfortunate soul who earned Carragher's ire on Monday night, as the stopper was savaged for his performances since making his summer move from Barcelona. The Chilean has flattered to deceive since his highly publicised transfer which saw former stalwart Joe Hart move to Serie A because of the lack of faith that new manager Pep Guardiola had in Hart's ability to play out from the back. And while it could be argued that Bravo is slightly better than Hart with the ball at his feet, it's been the former's lack of composure behind shots at goals that has forced him into less than favourable headlines. In Bravo's last eight games for City, he's faced 22 shots on target and 14 of those have found the back of the net which is not what you would call an acceptable return for a side supposedly challenging for the Premier League.
