According to The Daily Mail, McClean reacted to Everton supporters who directed two-fingered gestures at him as he left the field of play.
Baggies' boss Tony Pulis told the media following the game that he would have have a chat with McClean about the incident, after he had looked at it thoroughly.

Pulis also had a water bottle thrown in his direction, although it missed his feet.
"I have had worse thrown in my direction," he added, playing the incident down.
