James McClean doesn’t take too kindly to being called British

Eagle-eyed McClean will swiftly correct you if you call him British.

That's exactly what BT Sport commentator Ian Darke found out on Sunday. Darke was trying to highlight a stat about Crystal Palace's 2-0 win against West Brom in the Premier League when the Irish international interjected. Of the 22 starters in the match, 17 were from the  'British Isles', according to Darke.
