James McCarthy is about as popular as Big Sam and the Millwall mascot around Upton Park at the minute.

A tackle from the Everton midfielder has left West Ham's star man Dimitri Payet out of action for three months. The challenge came during the 1-1 draw on Saturday and the Republic of Ireland international, who earned a yellow card for the tackle, is now facing the wrath of some furious Hammers calling for retrospective punishment and a little bit more. Just to warn you, some of it is pretty disgusting. https://twitter.com/Chadstacca/status/663766113004687360 https://twitter.com/chrismay77734/status/663766065521041409 https://twitter.com/mehlman_nathan/status/663766018523840512 https://twitter.com/leebrown22/status/663765992645009408 https://twitter.com/LewisW22/status/663765911451627520 https://twitter.com/Matthew_Ware_II/status/663761793022586880 https://twitter.com/whufc98/status/663765789988823040 https://twitter.com/MounirB8/status/663767140995047424 https://twitter.com/RyanMailey1/status/663769124909277185 https://twitter.com/JessicaBath95/status/663768629016698880 https://twitter.com/benbrookes1234/status/663768102761594884
