The 25-year-old is out of contract in the summer but he remains confident of seeing his deal at the Emirates extended despite the fact that manager Arsene Wenger has claimed that financial considerations were getting in the way of an agreement.

After Shreeves asked whether he felt he was back to his best, Wilshere was interrupted by teammate Shkodran Mustfai, who'd opened the scoring.
