He may have only been invited to train alongside the senior squad ahead of this month's friendly matches, but at this rate Martin O'Neill would want to have a good reason keep Jack Byrne out of the Republic of Ireland panel for Euro 2016.
The Manchester City and Ireland U-21 star has been earning rave reviews during his loan spell with Dutch top-flight side Cambuur, and he added another highlight to his reel with a stunning strike to open the scoring against Heracles this afternoon.
Byrne picked the ball up 30 yards from goal before beating a man and firing an unstoppable strike past the goalkeeper.
