This just isn't what you do when you think you're going to lose your number one goalkeeper.
Manchester United aren't planning without David De Gea anyway and they certainly don't look to be planning for his exit in the near future.
Louis van Gaal hasn't even taken Victor Valdes on tour with them to the USA as he prepares for his second season in charge at Old Trafford.
Instead, he's brought De Gea and he's brought Anders Lindergaard and there has been no reason for the exclusion of newest goalkeeper arrival, Valdes, other than the fact that he just wasn't picked.
Yesterday, it was confirmed that United's number one, De Gea, would be going on tour with the squad and that no bid had even been received from Real Madrid as of yet, despite mounting speculation that his departure for the Bernabeu was imminent.

But the Spanish stopper jetted off for Seattle with the club and poor Victor Valdes was left out.

It might only imply that van Gaal sees no real future for Valdes as United's main man between the sticks but, even so, surely he'd be better using him on the tour if he really was preparing to lose De Gea.
It's not the mark of a manager who's expecting his 'keeper to take off any time soon. That's all we're saying.
