It has been a relatively quiet transfer deadline day - ridiculous rumours aside - but there's another developing story which might just have a bit of substance.
The Irish News are reporting that Republic of Ireland international, James McClean, could be set to join Premier League side Hull City.
The Wigan player has been with the Latics for a season and a half but there's talk that Steve Bruce - who originally signed him for Sunderland from Derry City - is interested in bringing him back to the top flight.
McClean didn't see any game time at the Stadium of Light under Bruce but, when Martin O'Neill came in, his form shot up so much so that, in the space of six months, he had done enough to earn himself a place at the Euros in Giovanni Trapattoni's squad.
The Derry man still has 18 months left on his contract at the DW Stadium.
