We're predicting that any baby boys born in the next few months could very well be named Shane in honour of a certain Tipperary man's goal last Thursday night against Germany.
Shane Long will probably get the freedom of Thurles or some such honour, something befitting his status as the man who put the ball in the German net and pushed us to the brink of Euro 2016.
We're sure that there are wordsmiths and songsmiths and even ruddy blacksmiths trying to pen odes to the former county minor hurler, but sometimes all it takes is a simple flag and a picture of Lionel Ritchie to do all the hard work for you.
SportsJOE reader Cormac Murtagh got in touch today with this wonderful picture and really, the genius behind it needs to be appreciated.
