A host of Irish football internationals have had a mixed reaction to the news of Martin O'Neill's departure from the Republic of Ireland squad.

O'Neill parted ways with the FAI on Wednesday after mutually agreeing to leave his post with the national team after five years in charge. The former Celtic, Aston Villa and Sunderland boss brought Ireland to the knockout stages of Euro 2016 and it was not lost on winger James McClean who publicly praised O'Neill for his achievements during his time with the team. https://twitter.com/RobHarris/status/1065276714220175360
