Ireland's 2-1 loss away to Armenia on Tuesday brought up memories of the 5-2 disaster against Cyprus in 2006, during the Euro 2008 qualifiers.
There was plenty of debate on social media as to what was the Boys in Green's worst loss of all time, and these two games were top of the list, along with the 1-0 loss to Luxembourg in 2021, and the 3-2 defeat to Macedonia in 1997.
