Reports that David de Gea's other half wasn't a big fan of Manchester have added fuel to the notion that the Spanish goalkeeper was destined for a move from United to Real Madrid this summer. But it appears that someone has had 'a little word' with De Gea's girlfriend, Edurne Garcia, who has claimed she never said the city was 'as ugly as a fridge - from behind'. Miss Garcia has gone on the record with a flat-out denial that she made the original remarks, saying 'I don't know if they are seeking out the news or they want to be controversial. But it surprises me when I saw everywhere this sentence that I have never said.' She is even looking forward to having a councillor show here the 'little corners' of the season.
