They've battled over La Liga titles, Champions League crowns and even Ballon d'Ors, but now it seems that Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo's latest tussle is over a Ferrari.
The pair are reported to have been at loggerheads over the sale of a rare 1957 Ferrari 335 S Spider Scaglietti, with auctioneer Alessandro Proto claiming that it was Barcelona star Messi who paid a world record €32million for the supercar.
"The buyer has remained anonymous, but claims suggest it could be Messi, according to a press release published by the Italian's company," Spanish newspaper Sport reports.
Ronaldo was also understood to be interested the car, which was driven to victory by Britain's Sterling Moss at the 1958 Cuban Grand Prix, while Messi aides have denied the Argentine is the buyer.
