Harry Redknapp for new England manager is slowly gathering momentum

The hunt for the new manager of the England national team has taken another strange turn as Harry Redknapp has entered the race.

Redknapp's friend and advisor Peter Storrie told the Mirror that the man who pioneered the car-window transfer interview would be interested in having a sit-down with the FA.

“Harry would be interested in talking to the FA. I’ve seen polls saying that he’d be the overwhelming peoples’ choice as an English candidate and when you look at his CV he has a strong track record of motivating players — he won the FA Cup with Portsmouth and took Spurs into the quarter-finals of the Champions League."

Storrie admits that Redknapp would bring some much-needed entertainment to the England team, although he probably didn't mean it in the same sense that everyone else is thinking.

"So many people agree that for so long it hasn’t been an enjoyable experience watching England. Harry would change that." “If it’s a case of working for a couple of years alongside a younger coach, Harry wouldn’t be against that either.”

A younger coach you say? Glenn Hoddle is 11 years his junior... just saying.
