"United are under huge scrutiny after a third successive game without a goal and there is growing pressure on Van Gaal to do what would have been unthinkable a few years back and drop Wayne Rooney. As David Moyes found out, and Van Gaal is discovering, those players simply are not around any more. They are undoubtedly a top-four team but nowhere near good enough to run away with the league."
