The German giants were just a few minutes away from securing their first Champions League final since 2020 at the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday night, but two late Madrid goals sealed their fate.
Alfonso Davies scored the first goal on the night, putting Munich in the drivers seat, but former Stoke striker Joselu came off the bench to score two late goals, including a winner that went through a nerve-wracking VAR decision.
The goal was eventually given after initially being ruled offside during stoppage time and Carlo Ancelotti's men powered through to the upcoming final against Borussia Dortmund.
Kane, who was substituted off a few minutes before Madrid scored both their goals, took to X to share his disappointment on not reaching the final.
"Gutted. Last night was tough to take," said the former Tottenham striker.
"Proud of how we battled over the two legs which says everything you need to know about the spirit of this team and how far we can go."
Kane was seen close to tears after Bayern crashed out of the competition last night.
The England captain made a dramatic switch to the German club in search of trophies last summer.
However, the Bavarian team now face their first season in 12 years without winning a trophy.
The 30-year-old striker will now have to face the claims of a 'curse' around his name, carrying on from his trophyless years at Spurs.
The story of the season in Germany this year, of course, belongs to Xabi Alonso and his extraordinary tenure at Bayer Leverkusen.
The Spaniard's side have ended Bayern Munich's dominance to win the Bundesliga this season and are now just one game away from reaching a first European final in over two decades.
Leverkusen are also on an incredible run of 48 games unbeaten - a record among Europe's big five leagues - the Bundesliga, Premier League, Ligue 1, La Liga and Serie A.
