Tottenham striker Harry Kane has broken Alan Shearer's calendar record of 36 Premier League goals in a single year.
Kane notched his 37th goal in the first-half of Spurs' Saint Stephen's Day clash with Southampton at Wembley Stadium.

Kane headed home from inside the six-yard box after he beat Southampton midfielder Oriol Romeu to a Christian Eriksen cross before adding his second goal of the half when he got on the end of a beuatifully worked team move to finish from close range.
The strikes marked Kane's 94th and 95ths goal in the Premier League, second to only Teddy Sherringham with 97 Premier League goals at Tottenham, however, Kane refused to entertain the thought that he may be able to surpass Shearer's all-time mark of 260 Premier League goals, despite possessing a better goals to games ratio than the Newcastle United legend.
"Of course you dream about it, but I'd be silly to look that far ahead I think," Kane told Sky Sports. "I've still got a long way to go. A lot can happen in football.
"Hopefully I can stay fit, stay sharp and we'll see what happens. Maybe if I get to 200 and I've still got a few more years left then I'll start thinking about it.
"But for now I'm concentrating on each game. I've had a great 2017 and hopefully, for me, it's an improved 2018 and I get even better."
