Graham Potter turned down the chance to jump straight back into management 24 hours after being sacked by Chelsea.
Potter was relieved of his duties on Sunday after they were beaten 2-0 by Aston Villa on Saturday and leaves the west London side 11th in the Premier League after only joining them in September.
Despite his early dismissal, Potter had been offered the chance to return to the touchline instantly by Leicester City, as reported by TalkSPORT, who are also looking for a new manager.
Brendan Rodgers agreed to depart the Foxes by mutual consent after four years in charge at the King Power Stadium following their defeat to Crystal Palace last weekend to leave them in the bottom three.
The former Brighton boss, 47, is held in high regard by Leicester and has been of interest to them before but Potter opted to turn down their advances as he prepares to take a break from the game.
Long-serving coaches Mike Stowell and Adam Sadler took charge of the Foxes’ game against Aston Villa on Tuesday while Bruno Saltor was in the dugout for the 0-0 draw against Liverpool.
Frank Lampard has been appointed as interim manager at Chelsea until the end of the season as the Blues look to wait until the summer before making a long-term appointment.
Lampard will be in charge for the visit of Wolves this weekend as he looks to restore some pride in a disappointing league campaign for the two-time European champions.
Leicester meanwhile are set to continue with Stowell and Sadler for their relegation six-pointer against AFC Bournemouth on Saturday.
