Deportivo La Coruna came from behind to earn a 1-1 draw against Villareal in La Liga on Sunday. However, the away side's opener was so astoundingly awesome, it feels almost a travesty that it wasn't enough to win the game.
Jaume Costa fired Villareal into the lead with a absolutely beautiful strike. The left-back received the ball off balance from the edge of the box, chipped it to himself and rocketed in a volley.
His outside-the-boot lobbed effort was so mesmerising that the opposition defenders stood perplexed wondering what on Earth had they just witnessed. Check out the tremendous wondergoal below.
