Hyperbolic statement of the day - There's nothing better than a piece of last-gasp defending.

What would have frustrated Laurent Blanc most by David Luiz's reaction to getting nutmegged by Luis Suarez midweek is that the Brazilian defender didn't break his arse to get back and at least attempt to put the Barcelona man off. But Jesper Arvidsson is made of more dogged stuff. The Djurgardens IF defender didn't know the meaning of a lost cause when he sprinted back to prevent a Kalmar forward from slotting into an open goal. And the tackle proved more decisive than you might imagine because it secured the 1-0 win for Djurgardens. It says something about the quality of the challenge that we'll more than likely watch this clip more times this weekend than any goal scored. H/t to 101GreatGoals
