Well it turns out that the former striker is a bit of a fan of Northern Ireland and, as plenty of supporters of the national team understandably were, he's really pissed off about the manner in which Michael O'Neill's side missed out on a place at next year's World Cup.
A ridiculously harsh penalty decision which went in Switzerland's favour during the first leg of last week's World Cup play-off ultimately decided Northern Ireland's fate.
The second leg saw Armstrong, who scored 12 goals for Northern Ireland between 1977 and 1984, on commentary duty and his hilariously biased commentary soon went viral.

The next game Armstrong commentated on was the Madrid derby on Saturday night.
The 0-0 draw between Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid at the Wanda Metropolitano was relatively uneventful as the La Liga goal droughts of both Cristiano Ronaldo and Antoine Griezmann continued.
And with little to discuss in the way of clear goalscoring chances, Armstrong took the opportunity to dredge up Northern Ireland's misfortune over the international break.
To be fair to the 63-year-old, he did segue into the Switzerland penalty decision off the back of a potential handball in the Atleti box but, still, viewers couldn't believe that he was still talking about it.
