The debate about the Premier League's greatest ever centre-forward is a tricky one. Alan Shearer terrorised goalkeepers for 13 years and remains the top scorer in Premier League history. And the former Newcastle and Blackburn great is the only man who Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher can agree on in relation to the league's best ever centre-forward. Ahead of the latest instalment of Monday Night Football, punditry soulmates Neville and Carragher have been debating who should be regarded as the best centre-forward to ever grace the Premier League. Carragher had a slightly different take though and suggested that the pair's former Sky Sports colleague Thierry Henry ought to be taken into account. "Thierry Henry, do you class him as a centre-forward?" Carragher asked. "Why would you not even mention him in there in your top two?" Neville went on to throw another former Manchester United teammate in the mix when challenged by Carragher. "Shearer's goals were unbelievable. I'd have Van Nistelrooy up there as well, to be fair, if I was naming a list," Neville said. At least they can agree on one thing - Shearer is never out of place in the argument about the Premier League's greatest ever centre-forward.
