Gareth Bale’s comments would appear to rule out Manchester United switch

Gareth Bale finally has his head around this whole emigration lark.

The Welshman is gearing up for another Champions League final and insists he is in no rush to head back to the Premier League. Bale is coming to the end of his third season in Madrid and has settled into a role of supporting Cristiano Ronaldo while stepping up with crucial contributions, and matchwinners, on his own account. With Manchester United set to install Jose Mourinho as their next boss, Bale has once again found himself linked with the club. However, in an interview with Spanish radio station El Partido de los 12, last night, he told Real fans not to worry about him stealing away in the middle of the summer. Laughing when asked about his long-term plans, Bale said:

"I'm not thinking about retiring yet. Obviously we will see what happens. "The Madrid fans can be relaxed. I still have three years left here on my contract and I am enjoying my football and feeling more and more comfortable in Madrid. I am enjoying playing and I am very happy."

Bale cost Madrid €100m in 2013 and has scored 57 goals in 120 appearances for the club. He took up an extra attacking mantle, in recent months, following injury issues for Ronaldo and Karim Benzema. "I feel more comfortable in the team," he added, "more involved and that has definitely shown in my performances."
