Gareth Bale walked away from his post-match interview abruptly after being asked whether he had played his final game for Wales following their second round exit from Euro 2020.
Bale and co. were swatted aside by an impressive Denmark side no Saturday afternoon, despite dominating for the opening 25 minutes.
Goals from Kasper Dolberg, Joakim Mæhle and Martin Braithwaite saw the Danes cruise into the quarter-finals, becoming the first team to reach the last eight after losing their first two group games.
Wales' players and fans all knew this game would pose a big test, but they will be gutted nonetheless to be knocked out after encouraging performances in the group stage.
Another big concern on their mind will be how long captain Bale will continue to represent his country. At the age of 31, he will be 34 by the time the next European Championships come around.
But with a World Cup in 18 months' time that Wales will be hoping to qualify for, it seems unlikely the man who once held a flag that read, 'Wales. Golf. Madrid. In that order' will call it a day on the international stage just yet.
When asked about his future in international football, that was certainly the message he gave off, as he flat out refused to dignify a question on his international future with an answer.
