The full extent of David Ginola’s shocking health scare has been revealed

David Ginola is a very lucky to be alive today after taking ill during a football game on Thursday.
Various reports surfaced that the former Tottenham winger had suffered a serious cardiac arrest during a game on the French Riviera on Thursday. Initial reports he had suffered a heart attack seemed to be allayed when this tweet was sent out from his account in the hours after the news was first reported. https://twitter.com/teamginola/status/733350731558858752 However, reports this afternoon are suggesting the former France international underwent a five hour surgery to clear blocked arteries around his heart this morning in Monaco. https://twitter.com/janedougallsky/status/733641269428297728 The Frenchman has confirmed he's on the mend. https://twitter.com/teamginola/status/733629581618520064 It's believed emergency CPR performed when Ginola collapsed during the game may have saved his life. It has been reported earlier on Friday morning that the 49-year-old was in a coma after Thursday's medical incident, but those rumours have thankfully now been found to be false.
