Liverpool skipper Jordan Henderson has been sidelined for two months after suffering a broken foot in training.
The midfielder was taking part in training for the first time since returning from the US, where he had been receiving treatment for a heel problem, but it is understood that the injuries are totally unrelated, with the fracture occurring in Henderson's other foot.
Indeed, the England man was thought to be back in contention for tomorrow's Premier League game against Norwich having missed Liverpool's four previous matches.
Henderson will be missing for an especially busy time for Liverpool, who are due to play a minimum of 14 matches before the end of November, including four Europa League ties, Premier League trips to Manchester City and Chelsea and the Merseyside derby at Goodison in two weeks' time.
